My evidence is my powerpoint from Unit 3 because it shows my use of technology and growth in knowledge of technology. I enjoyed putting this powerpoint together because I learned more about powerpoint technology at the same time I was putting it together. I did run into a few technical difficulties, but learned from it.
Goal: To even better my knowledge of powerpoint and its uses.
My evidence is my powerpoint from my Unit 4 project because when you compare it to my Unit 3 powerpoint, it shows much improvement and better usage of the tool powerpoint. I enjoyed creating this presentation and learning more about powerpoint while making it. The only things I found difficult were putting custom animations into my slides, which is the reason why I have so few. I solved this with just being more creative in my ways of presenting the information. What really worked was all the pictures I used to grab the students attention. One thing I would do differently would be to add even more pictures. That would most definitely be a good next step!
Demonstrates growth and competence in: public presentation of self, interpersonal relationships (peers, family, teachers, mentors), public speaking
I recieved 100% on my oral presentation for the Unit 3 project
My evidence is the fact that I got a 100% on my oral presentation for the Unit 3 project in U.S. History class. I enjoyed presenting to the students all the information I learned and showing them all the hard work I put into it. The only things I found difficult was the pressure of standing in the front of the room with 24 or so eyes on you. I solved this with just delving into the information. What really worked was the handout I used to inhance my information and grab the student's attention. One thing I would do differently would be to add a power point to my presentation to enhance it even more and the have better eye contact. That would most definitely be the next step!
My evidence is my paper of FanFiction that I did instead of my Ch.11 assignments in U.S. History class. I enjoyed relating one of my favorite book series to U.S. History class and combining the two into FanFiction. Although, I did find certain things rather difficult, like making a modern book be set in the past. But, certain things really worked, like matching the discrimination of a poor white teenage girl today to a poor black teenage girl back then. I might do one thing a little differently and focus even more on Massie and her rich friends. The next step would probably be to get further into the whole series of Clique books and move past just the first book. Therefore, this is my evidence of collaboration and community, and especially creativity!
